Pretty in Pink

Today we celebrated Lucy turning 3. We had family and friends over for sandwiches, cake, and water fun. Even though it is the middle of July we weren't sure if it would be warm enough for the water, but the kids played, some longer than others. The adults appreciated the cooler temps for sure. Lucy repeatedly told me, since December for Gavin's Birthday, that she wanted a pink party with a pink cake. I was happy to oblige since it should be the easiest to set up for. Despite the easy party theme I was able to make it slightly more in depth by sewing the pendant banners on my own, along with making the garland, and cupcakes. She adored it and was so happy to see pink everywhere. She did try to last minute change her mind to a purple party instead, but I so abruptly sweetly reminded her the invitations had already been sent. Thanks to all our family and friends for helping us celebrate our sweet girl.
