Baby H2 is A.......

I switched doctors due to insurance and so the new doctor wanted to do an ultrasound and who am I to disagree with the doctor. :)

Josh and I had a bet going on whether it was a boy or girl. Josh kept telling me girl from the beginning but I kept saying boy. (I think I was a little afraid to get disappointed if I said otherwise.)

Anyways we found out its a.........

GIRL!!!!!!!

We are still trying to decide a name for the new little Miss. Josh kept telling me he told me so during the ultrasound, and I kept asking the ultrasound tech to check again. Luckily we get another ultrasound on Feb. 22 so we get to double verify.

We couldn't be more excited. Gavin I don't think REALLY understands yet, but if you ask him where your little sister is he points to my belly. We'll have to see when she actually gets here what he truly thinks. :)

Snow Day

We had one of our BIG Texas Snow Falls today and Gavin's couldn't wait to go outside. I think he had so much fun in Colorado that he just couldn't help himself. We pretty much had to drag him back inside.

Cougar did NOT like the snow.

A Quick Christmas Review

We had a good Christmas. It seemed to go really quickly, I'm guessing since we just got back from a ski trip only a week before. Gavin got tons of toys (mainly from his over spoiling loving parents. I got everything I wanted, roller blades, bike trailer, new coffee pot, and Josh got some things he was wanting also, Xbox Kinect, blue ray player, Rangers opening day tickets. The BEST part was getting to spend it with FAMILY. We had Christmas Dec. 19 with Josh's family and Christmas Eve with my family. We even got to celebrate at our house this year. It was nice and relaxing since everyone stayed the night.

Colorado or Bust

This year we got to make a family vacation to Dillion Colorado for a wedding (Thanks Allen and Mandy) and a ski trip to Keystone. The Condos we stayed in were right on the mountain and it was fun having alot of our family stay in the same condos so we could visit. Gavin loved the snow and couldn't get enough of being outside. All went well with Gavin's 1st airplane ride as well. (Thanks to iPhones). We had a blast and enjoyed the beautiful weather that we had while there. We only had 1 bad storm night that poor Josh had to drive thru (and it was on the dam where there was a freezing lake on 1 side and a deadly drop on the other.) Josh and I can't wait until Gavin is old enough to start ski school. He was 1 year too young. There is always next time though. :)

Gummy Bear

We are ready to announce that we have a new little member coming to our family this summer. He/She had their first picture 11/30 and let me say they look oh so cute! In fact I thought they looked like a little gummy bear. Here see for yourself.

BIG Head, small body, and nubby arms and legs.

The baby will be joining us around July 10.
Wow I can't believe Baby #2 is on the way. We are very excited but are worried about this whole parenting 2 kids thing. We've heard it can be rough, but tons of fun.

Chugga Chugga Two-Two

Wow Gavin I can't believe you are already 2. To me you are still my little baby and it's not until I look at pictures or see younger kids that I realize how BIG you are getting.

There are so many things that you can do now.

-Jump (sometimes with both feet off the floor)
-Speak in short sentences.
-Count to 10.
-You know some of your letters and alot of your colors. (Although you can still get a little mixed up)
-You are constantly repeating all that you hear.
-You still only take a 30 min- to 1.5 hr nap SOMETIMES. Other times you just play.
-Since we have moved into the house your 2's are becoming more apparent. (Such as throwing yourself on the floor and crying when you don't get your way.)
-You can feed yourself with a spoon and fork, most of the time.
-Your vocabalry is numerous. I honestly couldn't even list all that you can say.
-You are potty training. I think if we REALLY pushed you could be completly Day Potty trained. Lets be honest it's going to be awhile before you are at night.

You had such a GREAT birthday party. All of your cousins and family made it. We did a Choo Choo train theme since you can't get enough of trains lately. I made your Birthday Cake and you LOVED it. Your favorite part though was the candy on the train cars. :) Before we could even finish singing you Happy Birthday you were picking all the Gummy Bears you could. Cake this year was no problem for you to eat or get messy with. You got tons of fun new toys. We even got a 16 Ft Bounce Slide for the backyard since the weather had been soo nice. (However it was a little more Chilly and Windy on your actual party day)

On your actual birthday Daddy, Mommy, and You went to eat at Chilly's to have a night out and then gave you a cupcake to eat. You LOVED blowing out the candels. You opened a few presents from us and just played for the day.

On Thursday we brought cupcakes to your school so you could celebrate with them.

Pretty much you had enough cake/cupcakes to be sugar high by the end of the week.

I am so Happy to be your mommy and am so proud of the little boy you are becoming.

Your Stats:

Weight: 26 lbs (35%)
Height: 35.5 in (80%) Dr. Blair estimates you will be 6 Ft (by an inch or 2) Daddy LOVED hearing that.
Head: Don't remember but was normal.

Now for picture overload.

Ready to go play outside on the slide.

The Fun Slide. It came early in the morning so he got to slide before the party. Gavin was scared at first when the guys were putting it up but as soon as we took him outside and showed him what it was he was sooo excited. When it was nap time he thru the biggest fit when he had to go inside.

This is one of the best pictures we could get since he was running around everywhere.
I wish we had a picture of the whole table of all the kids plus the kids that were sitting at the bar so you could how many kids there are that are just family. Let's just say we like to do it BIG when it comes to family.

FYI Red is not a very FUN color to get out of shirts, chair cushions, faces or hands. But he sure did enjoy it this year.

Life is A Happeining

I know I have not posted in some time, but we have been very busy with packing, moving, birthday party, baby showers, traveling, and working. So basically LIFE! My computer has taken a backseat in use unless it's been for web searching of birthday or baby shower ideas. The only reason my email or facebook get any attention is thanks to the wonderful smart phones.

Our New House

We are loving being in the house. It's such a nice thought to know that we are HOME! Gavin is having fun with all the room. He loves that he can go outside and run with Tater. (when the weather allows)

Gavin's 2nd Birthday
That deserves a separate blog of its own!

My friend Joanna's Baby Shower
My Best friend Joanna is having her 1st (and probably only) baby in March. She wanted to have her shower on the earlier side just to be safe and prepared. It was an owl theme and was sooo cute. I hate to brag but man did I do a GREAT job. (just look at the pictures) I made the invitations, the diaper cake, the banner, the cupcakes (not the toppers though, those are thanks to etsy), and the mint flavored chocolate Owl candies. It was soo cute! She got alot of things that she needed and some that were the fun non-registering kind of special gifts. I can't wait to see the little man and see who he looks like and what he will be named. :)

Our Recent Family Addition

I know this was not the picture some of you were expecting. My brother Allen got married to a wonderful women named Mandy. They got married up in Dillion, Colorado and it was a beautiful sunny snow day. She looked BEAUTIFUL and he looked soooo HAPPY! I couldn't be happier to have a new sister! Gavin got to be one of the Ring Bearers. He made it all the way down the aisle thanks to a little M&M bribery that he received from Uncle Brazos when he made it. We then spent the next 3 days ski/snowboarding. Allen and Mandy even joined us for a day! It was AWESOME! Well except for the small fall I had that hurt my butt bone soooo bad, and the few where I fell on my knees and bruised one. I boarded for 2 days and then on the 3rd had to call it quits. Gavin LOVED being outside in the snow but did not like having it in his face. He went sledding a few times but after forcing him 2-3 times I gave up asking because he always just said NOPE as seriously as he could. Is it wrong to laugh at your child when he falls into the snow? :) They even had a park right next to our condo. When Gavin went down the slide it was so slick that he just flew off the end into the snow. (Not his favorite but definitely funny) We had a good time but were exhausted by the time we got home Wednesday at 11:30 pm.

The Bride and Groom having their 1st Dance.

(I will post a separate blog about our trip to Colorado since there are soo many pictures.)

Now we are back at home and settling into life again. We are preparing for Christmas at our house and couldn't be more excited. We got the tree yesterday and will be decorating this week along with cookie making.
