8 years and counting

This weekend Josh and I celebrated our 8 year Anniversary. We were blessed enough by family who watched the kids so we could go for a Staycation to Hotel Zaza. Staying down in "Uptown" seemed like a whole other world to us. We had a good time catching some sun and sleep. (Although I couldn't sleep past 8 even with the dark curtains) :( Argh!

Day 1 (Sat) we went shopping, ate at Gordon Biersch, and went to see a movie, and then tried to act young and go to a few bars. Lets just say the parody song "We're NOT Young" came to mind. lol.

Day 2 We slept in. Enjoyed a FULL cup of coffee without interruption at Starbucks on the patio, ate at Jake's for Lunch (yummy cheeseburger), and then took a ride down the wild side and got new tattoos instead of going to a "fancy" dinner. Let me start by saying this was not a complete crazy new idea. We have both been wanting tattoos since we've been married. Neither of us really knew what we wanted for the longest time but we had a general idea. After some research we decided what and where we would get them done. This was Josh's first and my second. Looking back I'm not 100% about mine but slowly getting used to it, but Josh's loves his. In fact the Tattoo artist was so impressed he used Josh's Tat for his portfolio.

Day 3 we slept in as late as we could, grabbed some brunch and then headed to pick up our kids from my parents house.

It was almost exactly what we were needing. The only thing I'd change is the scenery to a view of the beach in the Caribbean. :)

Not to sound conceded but I look pretty good for having 2 kids. Oh and Josh does too. :)
